Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
Thank you for the opportunity to be your part-time Pastor here at Monocacy! It is my honor and privilege to serve God, you and your family again this year at Rocky Ridge. Someone has said that, “The days are long but the years are short.” If the Lord tarries, this year will go by quicker than last year. I want to encourage you to worship God with us as often as you are able and to “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as you see the day approaching” (Heb. 10:25). Please also join us each 3rd Thursday of the month for Bible Study.
May our goal to be a body of believers bonded together by a new birth in the Lord Jesus Christ for the purpose of edifying each other according to the Word of God and to be endued with the power of the Holy Spirit so that we can effectively carry out the work of God in the world (Eph. 3:10, Col. 1:12-29). We are a Christian family and community-oriented church that seeks to respond to needs in a caring way, living as committed disciples of Jesus; peacefully, simply and together in a country context. It’s “another way of living” as people who are called “Brethren”.
Let us display the character qualities of the Lord Jesus Christ in all that we say and do for others to hear and see, as well as being obedient to the 10 Commandments and all of the commands of Christ. May God have his way and may we seek to do his will in the days and years ahead until his return for “Jesus is Lord”.
